Back from an Unexpected Break

You may have noticed things have been a little quiet around here. Life threw a few curveballs my way, and what began as a short unexpected break turned into a longer-than-expected hiatus. But I’ve truly missed this space — and I’m ready to reconnect, just at a pace that’s more manageable and sustainable.

Why I Took a Break

I didn’t plan to step away for this long, but sometimes life has a way of nudging us to slow down. Between work, family, and everything in between, I found myself stretched too thin. My creative energy needed time to recharge — and honestly, so did I.

While I may not feel completely recharged, I do feel ready to ease back in. I’m excited to be here again, and I hope to bring some fun and creativity back into your life, little by little.

What’s Next

I’ll be posting again — both here on the blog and over on Etsy. That said, I’m being intentional about how I return. Instead of diving headfirst into a packed schedule, I’m focusing on consistency over hustle.

And — as hard as it is for my flighty creative brain — I’m also trying something new: designing with focus and intention. Rather than creating whatever strikes my fancy in the moment, I’m shifting toward designing around seasonal holidays. Not only is this more marketable, but it still leaves room for the fun and whimsy I love.

My dream is for this “fun little side hustle” to grow into something that makes a meaningful difference for my family. But chasing that dream burned me out last time, so this time I’m doing things differently — with boundaries, grace, and balance.

So What Can You Expect?

  • Monthly or biweekly blog updates
  • Behind-the-scenes peeks into my creative process
  • New designs released at a pace that feels healthy and joyful

A More Balanced Creative Life

This break was a much-needed reminder that burnout doesn’t help anyone — especially not a creative business. Whether you’re a fellow maker, a customer, or just stopping by for inspiration, I want to show up with intention, not exhaustion.

As I return to creating, I’ll be focusing on:

  • Prioritizing quality over speed
  • Setting realistic boundaries
  • Designing from a place of joy

Let’s Reconnect

If you’re new here, welcome! And if you’ve been following along for a while, thank you so much for your patience and support. I’ve got some fun ideas in the works, and I’m excited to bring you along — even if it’s at a slower pace.

Here’s to creating in a way that feels good — and showing up imperfectly, but consistently.
